John O. Smith is an artist, designer and educator living and working in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

He received his MFA in design from the University of Iowa, where he also studied book arts at the University of Iowa Center for the Book.

His graphic design work has received numerous awards, and his collaborative and solo book arts, installation, and performance projects have been exhibited around the country. He currently teaches graphic design at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
